What I’m Reading

Tommy Barnett, founder of the LA Dream Center, came and spoke at our church a few weeks ago. My brother in law was able to score me an autographed copy of Mr. Burnett’s latest book, “The Power of a Half Hour“. This book walks you through winning back your life, 30 minutes at a time. Pretty amazing to see how dedicating just 30 minutes of a day to focused effort can change your life! I am enjoying the read so far…and making changes! Check it out here!

“Outliers”, which I just finished reading, was amazing. Malcolm Gladwell does an amazing job researching what makes certain people special. It was fascinating to read about what makes someone successful! Check it out here: http://gladwell.com/outliers/

S. Truett Cathy, owner of Chick-Fil-A, wrote a book “Wealth: Is It Worth It?” This was a great read about having a proper perspective of why it is ok to strive for wealth. http://www.cathyfamily.com/resources/books.aspx

Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruze’s new book “Smart Money Smart Kids”. It was a great read and I highly recommend it to anyone with kids. It is never too late to start teaching kids how to responsibly handle money. Pick up a copy here http://www.daveramsey.com/store/smart-money-smart-kids/cSMSK.html?ictid=smsk.dr.hp

Dave Ramsey has done it again. With his 2nd national best seller of the year, Dave tackles a book centered around his newest class “The Legacy Journey”. This book helps define what life looks like when you are out of debt. For some, including me at times, the idea of being out of debt can be distant and foreign. “The Legacy Journey” can help put those thoughts in perspective. When your goal gets blurry, sometimes it is nice to have a refocused view of that goal. This book does just that. When you are looking hard and fast at getting out of debt, but it doesn’t happen over night, you need a reminder of the original vision. A life where you owe nothing and literally can do with your money, whatever you want! Go get your copy here: http://www.daveramsey.com/store/cLegacyBook.html
